ABOUT DR. BRAD BOWINS

I am a psychiatrist, psychotherapist, researcher, and founder of the Centre For Theoretical Research In Psychiatry & Clinical Psychology. Aligning with my interest in theoretical research, my approach to life is characterized by exploration, curiosity, openness to experience, and creativity, evident from the content of my personal website (docbowins.com), showcasing photography and travel articles. Additionally, a strength has always been understanding and generating concepts. Given my conceptual nature, as well as a spirit of exploration and discovery, an interest in research and more specifically theoretical research, was inevitable. Research is a way of life and not just an activity to promote my career!

Experience without theory is blind, but theory without experience is mere intellectual play (Immanuel Kant). Theory in psychiatry and clinical psychology can be robust given that practice in these areas guides theory such that it is much more than play!
